We would like to introduce Collegedj.net, a new service geared entirely towards getting new music out to college djs and students. This new service allows labels to get their music to college djs across the US (and the globe)! And unlike other music delivery services, which are more expensive, and rely upon e-mail notifications to alert users to new music, collegedj.net is TOTALLY FREE for djs, and uses private network sharing technology to get your music to our registered users. What’s more, we offer the ability to track what happens with your music. You’ll know who downloaded it, who spun it, and the area that is feeling it the most. Why spend money on non-targeted promotions?
With the CDJ TrackTechTM software, record labels can track all the songs and artist performance. Our software gives you granular level data such as “dj info” or “dj spins” (we also have data on the local club/frat the dj spins at) and macro information such as “most downloaded state”, “state spins”. Here is how it works. You upload a song to our player when you receive login access. We do the rest!!! If you have artwork and video’s great. Otherwise we will create a package for you. Just send us the MP3. The dj’s get free music to spin and you get information on where to promote your artists. You also get access to our digital distribution network. WHY SEND YOUR MUSIC TO A BIG JUKEBOX OF THOUSANDS OF SONGS??. At CDJ we only feature 200 new songs a month. Our dj’s will download your song and play it if it is hot – regardless of if they have heard the artist before. We have done extensive research in this area. College students are very open to new music. And college dj’s routinely spin new acts. All for less than the competition! It’s our promotional special for the Spring 07 season.
Collegedj.net was started by a former Digiwaxx executive, a Princeton University graduate, a Notre Dame University graduate, and a sprinkling of DJs from NY, Philly and California, who were looking for a easier way for college djs to get music from labels. But we know what the labels want….spins and tracking. We can give you access to our software or create customized weekly reports for you. YOU WILL SAVE MONEY AND GIVE YOUR ARTISTS MORE EXPOSURE THAN IF THEY HAD THEIR OWN WEBSITE OR MYSPACE. Every collegedj.net member dj is a current college or university affiliated disc jockey, spinning on a college radio station, at college parties and local clubs and venues, or a college alumni, still spinning professionally. Every year, collegedj.net will have a freshman class of djs coming in, constantly increasing our numbers and our reach.
And the dj’s grade the songs. So you will know if it is hot immediately. But make sure you take advantage of our readership. We have many non-subscribed readers all over the U.S. One mention on the www.collegedj.net front page and YOUR independent artist has instant ‘web-presence’ and ‘web-credibility’. This is part of our CDJ PREMIERE package. (Service currently booked through March.)
Collegedj.net is purely a promotional service that recognizes that the college demographic is valuable towards generating awareness and interest in new and established acts. We have a growing roster of college djs registering for the service every day. Want to try us out? Email us a song at contact@collegedj.net and we will allow you trial access. (We must approve of each song.) We do not accept all songs. This allows us to keep our player list low for YOUR benefit. Your access will be granted to the TrackTechTM software at http://www.collegedj.net/submit/admin.php
For our small fee, you may track the progress of all your artists and uploads. But our customized research reports are even better for quick analysis.
If you think that your label and artists can benefit from our digital distribution service, please send us an e-mail and MP3, and we’ll contact you to get you set up. The CDJ college tour will also be coming next Fall!! Want to sponsor? We are the number 1 source for targeted college dj info, ratings taste-making and music on the internet.
