Big Boi Announces ‘Shoes For Running’ Tour (Dates)

Rolling Stone reports Funk rap legend Big Boi will embark on an extensive 45 city North American tour this summer, his first in 2 years. With friend and frequent collaborator Killer Mike taking on opening act duties, Big Boi will kick off his so-called Shoes For Running Tour in April with a performance in his his native Georgia before traveling around the country.

The OutKast emcee spoke to Rolling Stone about the upcoming tour, saying:

“We starting it off in my own backyard . . . that’s right up the street. They’ll show me love before we get out there in the midst of the world… To play your music in front of the fans that love it, it’s like the best feeling in the world.. Just jamming out with all walks of life.”

On the tour you can expect to see General Patton performing tracks from his last two solo efforts – Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors and Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty – as well as some Outkast classics and some collabs with Killer Mike.
