Some photos taken of the Beatles in 1964 have been put on sale. These rare gems are from the Beatles’ first U.S. tour. The shots include everything from George Harrison with his guitar, to press conferences to private parties.
The most rare thing about these photos is that they are in color, something very rare due to the nature of the expensive color films back in the days. Most images of the group before 1965 were all in black and white.
These photos were taken by Dr. Robert Beck, who left the collection of 65 images in an archive after his death in 2002. These will be sold on March 22nd to symbolize the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first album, Please Please Me.
