Russian PM calls Pussy Riot sentencing “unproductive”
Dmitry Medvedev has called for the band’s release.
The developing Pussy Riot story continues today with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev calling for something akin to a release of the band from the Moscow jail in which they are currently incarcerated.
According to Medvedev, “The prolongation of their incarceration in the conditions of jail seems to me to be unproductive[...] A suspended sentence, taking into account time they have already [spent in prison], would be entirely sufficient.” Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
