Jay-Z‘s Made in America concert made history for many reasons when it went down a couple of weeks ago; one huge reason is that it provided the impetus for a RUN DMC reunion. It had been 10 years since Rev. Joseph “Run” Simmons and Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels kicked rhymes together on stage – they disbanded following the murder of fellow founding member DJ Jam Master Jay.

In an interview Front Row Live Ent recorded after Made in America, DMC broke down the reasons behind the hiatus, the reunion, and what’s been going on in the meantime. The 30 minute interview also covered DMC’s thoughts on the currrent generation of hip hoppers and how they compare to the past, as well as news about his upcoming Rock album and his work with charities. Check out the interview below and let us know what you think @DubJ@CollegeDJ, and LIKE and comment this post on Facebook.
