Hulk Hogan almost played bass for Metallica.
That’s probably the best sentence that’s ever been written, up there.
In an interview with The Sun (Read it. It’s amazing.), the Hulkster revealed that he was a session musician before his days in the ring. He told The Sun: “I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days but it didn’t work out.”
I’m going to let that sink in for a second. Please imagine what the world would be like today if Hulk “Hulkamania” Hogan played bass in Metallica.
Apparently, there was also an off-chance the Hulkster could have played in the Rolling Stones as well. “Jerry Hall also asked Mick Jagger if I could play bass with the Rolling Stones. Mick never got back to me.”
We live in an awesome world.
