Stream John K. Samson’s new album
The frontman of folk-punk band The Weakerthans shares his first solo LP with Paste Magazine
The Weakerthans have always been bigger in their homeland Canada than in the US, but that doesn’t change the fact that their music is brilliant, touching, and features some amazingly clever lyricism. A lot of that can be attributed to frontman John K. Samson, who had a minor hit a while ago with the song Maryland Bridge, but now will follow that solo effort up with a full album entitled Provincial.
The album is due out later this month, but if, like me, you need to hear it now, Paste Magazine has been authorized to host the album for streaming. The question is, what are you still doing here?
