Spotlight on: Electric Soft Parade
Get to know another great band out of Great Britain.
The Electric Soft Parade has been around for years, and it’s one of those bands that is constantly changing to perfect its sound. If they are to be defined, I guess you could call them post-punk? They kind of sound like Matthew Sweet crossed with The Doves.
The group, the combined artistic efforts of brothers Alex and Thomas White have recently released a quick-and-dirty EP, appropriately titled A Quick One, which is available on Soundcloud here.
Electric Soft Parade found some breakthrough success with their album No Need to be Downhearted a few years back, and look forward to following it up with more short EPs in 2012, eventually culminating in the band’s next full length release later this year.
