Guns N’ Roses, who released “Chinese Democracy”, their 6th album, a full 15 years after their 5th LP have stated that making a 7th is now their priority. Guitarist DJ Ashba says that he has 12 tracks all lined up for the next release as he plans with frontman Axl Rose. As they have finished out their tour (the first in 5 years), they should have much more time to get back into the studio. In an interview with Mamasfallenangels.com, Ashba comments:
”I can say making a new album absolutely is our main priority. And I cannot wait to get working on it. Axl has tonnes and tonnes of stuff recorded as it is. I mean, he sits there in his hotel room and he’ll play me hours of stuff. And I’ve written over ten songs, I think 12 songs now, for him that he really likes.”
As to an exact release date, we are pretty unsure:
“I can’t give anybody a definite date, because I’m not going to give anybody false hope. But it’s absolutely everybody’s goal to get out an album within a reasonable amount of time.”
Is the world ready? Moreover, who will be at the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year? Will Slash and Axl reunite?
