Well, when British rock band Kasabian isn’t bemoaning the state of the music industry, perhaps they are trying to fix it with music itself. The band has just posted a very short demo to soundcloud for a song entitled, “Table Tennis Boom Box”.
At just 44 seconds in length, I’m not sure if it’s single worthy, but it does make innovative use out of a ping pong ball as a sort of metronome. There are rumors that perhaps the release was a bit of a joke. Time will tell if the self-proclaimed “albums band” will practice what they preach or instead, focusing on producing singles. (Because, let’s face it–they do sometimes make more money.)
