J. Cole’s “Work Out” Single Goes Platinum:

When I first heard J.Cole‘s “Work Out“, I feared the worst for the North Carolina rapper’s record sales. It didn’t seem pop enough – not the type of record that would make his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story cross over with fans. But Cole proved me wrong, as “Work Out” has gone platinum as a result of his non stop grinding and promotion of the song and his highly dedicated fanbase (check out the energy of the crowd as the sing the song to Cole during a New Year’s Eve performance). I salute J.Cole for a successful first album and single. J.Cole recently visited David Letterman to perform the track.
