Lily Allen would be ‘honoured’ to play Amy Winehouse tribute concert
Florence and the Machine and Mark Ronson are among the acts already confirmed to play
Rumors have been circulating for a while about Lily Allen’s sabbatical retirement, due to her cryptic hints at possibly becoming a country artist and her upcoming project writing songs to accompany a musical version of the movie Bridget Jones’ Diary. The artist confirmed , however, that she would be happy to be invited to play at the tribute concert currently being organized in memorial of Amy Winehouse.
Though Allen mentioned that she had not been approached to perform at the concert yet, saying that overhearing the rumors was the first time she had been made aware that playing the concert was even a possibility, she said that she would be ‘honoured’ to play the show. It does seem like a fit, and it would be nice to see Lily back on stage since she took a break from music in 2009.
