The British rock band complains of a “drought of rock ‘n roll” music
According to Contact Music, the band is frustrated by bands that are “frightened of making records that sound good on the radio”
Echoing the sentiments of many a music lover, British rock ‘n roll band Kasabian spoke out against the mentality of today’s rock and pop bands. The statements to Contact Music are varied and numerous, but the general criticism against today’s music scene is probably best summed up by guitarist Serge Pizzorno himself:
“We’ve been overrun by pop and I hate that indie attitude. Life’s too short to give a fuck. I’m not religious, I don’t think there’s anything after this, so I’m here to have a good time and this is the one chance I’ve got. So get me the fucking fur coat and let’s crack on. One knobhead might go, ‘Oh, I don’t like that.’ But who cares?”
Members of the band have been on record before criticizing bands that are afraid to experiment, to truly create something masterful and brilliant, and instead buy into the behemoth that pop music has become.
