Lupe Fiasco Releases Friend of the People Mixtape (Download):
As a Thanksgiving gift, Lupe Fiasco has provided new music for our ears to feast on in the form of a new mixtape called Friend of the People. This is his first release of new, original music since Lasers dropped in March, and it features his wonderful genre mix “Lightwork” featuring Elle Goulding (listen to Lightwork here). If “LightWork” was actually light work for Lupe, it bodes well for the quality of the mixtape, wherein he appears to be rapping over mostly dubstep and electronica samples.
